history

Firth Ross Martin Associates was established as a partnership in 1983 with a goal to become one of the premier global executive search firms. Since then we have successfully grown a team of functional experts who have extensive market knowledge across technology and operations, having worked with financial services clients for a number of years. In the last seven years the firm has also developed a corporate real estate and workplace management practice, and through that business has forged broader relationships outside of the financial services sector.

Firth Ross Martin was originally the executive search arm of The Blomfield Group, the largest privately run UK recruitment company, and our sister companies included Joslin Rowe and Origin HR. In April 2006, the board of the Blomfield Group sold a controlling interest to Vedior who, at that time, were the fourth largest staffing company in the world. Subsequently, on the 16th May 2008, the Randstad Group acquired Vedior.
