Individuals who have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree are going to work in Russia rather than other western European nations, it has been revealed.

According to the QS TopMBA Jobs Index, the country is becoming a hot spot for professionals, the International Business Times reports.

In the article, the news source notes the number of individuals with the qualification recruited in Russia has increased for the second consecutive year, demonstrating an annual rise of 22 per cent.

It points to the strong manufacturing industry, recovering retail and financial sectors and rich natural resources in Russia as reasons for its high levels of demand for talented and accomplished people and substantial salaries.

Such management professionals enable the nation to compete on the international stage and the source suggests: "In a bid to regain its past glory, the country is looking at MBAs to drive its business and economy."

Elsewhere, a piece for the Moscow Times by recruitment professional Sergei Razhev highlighted the current growth in employment in Russia, in particular in the finance and accounting spheres.
