Companies around the world are turning to India to seek employees, it is claimed.
Multinational corporations are restarting expansion plans that stalled during the economic downturn and Business Today claims they are looking to Indian workers.
The country has a large workforce, which is becoming increasingly well educated, prompting employers to look towards it as a possible source of labor.
Multinationals in particular are seeking new white collar recruits in India, the news source suggests, increasingly in sectors such as
IT
,
engineering
and pharmaceuticals where there are often talent shortages.
It notes medical degrees from two Indian institutions are now recognized in Singapore, adding: "Indians too are showing a greater willingness to relocate than before."
