A sharp increase has been seen in the number of technology jobs in southern California, industry leaders have suggested.
Speaking to Socaltech.com, Webvisible chief executive Kirsten Mangers said the firm was "getting more aggressive in recruitment", as it expands its operations and finding talented employees becomes "tougher".
Her remarks were echoed by iChange boss Stuart Macfarlane, who revealed his company is seeking web developers and has only received applications from a few skilled applicants.
Those looking for IT jobs in the US may be interested in the website's assertion that "the number of open positions for technical - and other - talent at local companies has surged in recent months".
Meanwhile, Melissa Hooven of gaming specialist MindJolt said potential employees are becoming more diligent about researching the organizations they apply to in the current economic climate.
Across the US, April witnessed a monthly climb of 290,000 in the number of job opportunities on offer, according to Department of Labor data.
