Bahrain 'popular with Middle Eastern graduates'

Bahrain 'popular with Middle Eastern graduates'Graduates quizzed about their plans after getting their degrees in the Middle East chose Bahrain as one of their top destinations.

This is according to a new poll reported by Gulf Daily News, which showed the state was chosen by 247 out of the 5,996 individuals surveyed, making it the fifth most popular location for young adults entering the workplace.

Carried out by website Bayt, it revealed graduates from the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region polled online selected the United Arab Emirates as their top choice for work, followed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

The majority of those questioned said they had studied banking and finance subjects, meaning that some may be seeking accountancy jobs in Bahrain, while others completed courses in science, engineering, IT and fine arts.

Of the respondents to the research, 87 per cent said that they felt confident about securing employment.

Bahrain is an archipelago situated in the Arabian Gulf with an estimated population of 1.039 million people.
